The Social, Humanitarian and Cultural Committee (SOCHUM), the third General Assembly of the UN, manages social, human rights and humanitarian conditions worldwide. It has a broad mandate, and relevant agendas include women’s rights, children’s rights, the treatment of refugees, racism, and discrimination.

Delegates will learn about the various social and humanitarian issues that plague our society and will learn to appreciate the various solutions available for some of these issues while debating on the viability of other solutions.
